The Beneficial Ownership Information Report (BOIR) is a new requirement under the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) for U.S. businesses. It's designed to increase transparency in business ownership and help combat financial crimes. The deadline for filing the BOIR is January 1st, 2025. This deadline applies to businesses that were registered before January 1st, 2024. Entities registered on or after January 1st, 2024, have a different deadline, as they must file their BOIR within 30 days of registration.
